Ryan is a professional transcriber and guitarist from Tucson, AZ. Along with Chris Romero and Anthony Geluso, Ryan is co-owner and founder of Progressive Transcriptions LLC, a full service music notation and engraving business started while he was still in high school. In the six years the company has operated, Ryan has been published by all three major US sheet music publishers (Hal Leonard, Cherry Lane, and Alfred Publishing) and has transcribed the music of many great progressive artists such as Queensryche, Jethro Tull, and of course Dream Theater. His current project is the official guitar transcription book for Dream Theater’s Octavarium.

Ryan plays guitar in the Tucson-area hard rock band Gorilla Behind Bars An expert computer user, Ryan has also served on the beta test team for two of the past three versions of the amazing Sibelius notation package.

Ryan’s other interests include aviation and computer flight simulation as well as studying toward a degree in political science at the University of Arizona.
