Jordan Baker is a multi-instrumentalist from northern Minnesota. Self-taught from a young age, he enjoyed learning songs by ear and gained a particular interest for transcribing while playing in various local bands during and after high school. Developing contacts with Progressive Transcriptions and Jordan Rudess paved the way toward his current occupation as a full-time professional transcriber.

As the most recent addition to the Progressive Transcriptions team, Jordan contributes in part to Jordan Rudess' notation needs, providing the occasional cover song or solo when needed. Some of his other work includes monthly transcriptions and articles for Guitar One magazine, transcribing and arranging for Hal Leonard, and co-transcribing projects for Alfred Publishing such as the Dream Theater Keyboard Anthology (with Chris Romero) and the Octavarium guitar tab book (with Ryan Maziarz).
