Drummer Charlie Zeleny lives a dual lifestyle. When not gigging/touring with Prog-Visionaries 'Behold the Arctopus' (www.BeholdtheArctopus.com) he is busy on the NYC session scene playing literally all styles of music. He has played Pop, Rock, Jazz, Funk, Hiphop, R&B, Hard Rock, Progresive Metal, Musicals and Recording Sessions in NYC and all across the US. He can be found playing large venues like Continental Airlines Arena, American Airlines Theater and Boulton Center for the Performing Arts one night and then be found rocking a NYC club like the Knitting Factory, CBGBs, the Cutting Room, Club Groove or Sofias Jazz Club the next night. Charlie was accepted into NYU for Grad School in Jazz Drumset Performance, was Founder/Head of the Drew University Jazz Program for 3 years and has studied 3 years under Tommy Igoe (Lion King on Bway drummer). Charlie Zeleny also shares his talents as a Producer, Songwriter and Music Director for such artists as Risa (www.RisasMusic.com) and will be playing/music directing the band live at this year's Z100 Zootopia Concert on May 22nd at Continental Airlines Arena (www.Z100.com) and be recording tracks with her at Quad Studios in NYC (www.QuadStudios.com).
